How quickly can a vampire drink your blood ?

Physics students have calculated just how long it would take for a vampire to drain your body of blood.

It might be near to the top of the list of unlikely ways to die, but if by some peculiar twist of fate you did end up at the receiving end of Dracula's fangs, how long would you last ?

According to physics students from the University of Leicester, the answer is just 17.3 minutes.

The unorthodox research was published just in time to coincide with the 85th anniversary of the famous 1931 Universal movie 'Dracula' which starred Bela Lugosi as the titular vampire.

The students used fluid dynamics to determine how much blood would be lost through a puncture wound in the neck and then worked out from there how long it would take for the person to die.

According to their research, it would take a vampire 6.4 minutes to drain 0.75 liters - that's 15% of a person's blood - with the blood loss becoming fatal when that figure reaches around 40%. - See more at: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/292733/how-quickly-can-a-vampire-drink-your-blood#sthash.eITZrFvI.dpuf
