Security pros and cons of Apple's latest operating systems
Apple's march toward seamless integration between the Mac, iPhone and iPad worries some security experts who say companies may find it more difficult to prevent data leakage on the devices.
On Monday, Apple introduced Handoff, a feature in upcoming iOS 8 and Mac OS X Yosemite that would let a person start a task on one device and complete it on another. For example, an email started on the Mac could be completed later on the iPad.

History of Kanchipuram
The Goddess Kamakshi is in a sitting posture in the temple. This posture is called the Padmasana posture. The Padmasana posture is said to resemble a lotus. In the Yogic practice this resembles the form of meditation. The Goddess holds a Sugarcane bow on her left upper arm and Lotus, Parrot in her right upper arm. The Goddess also has divine chakras called Pasa and Angusa in her arms.
The Goddess also has a Chandraperai (a shape of moon like structure) in her forehead. The Goddess Kamakshi is situated in the middle of temple premises.
History reveals that Goddess Kamakshi was praying under a mango tree with a Shiva lingam made of sand to marry the great Lord Shiva. After a long duration of dedicated and devoted meditation to Lord Shiva, Lord Shiva appeared before her and married the Goddess Kamakshi, a divine form of Parvati. There are no traditional Parvati or Shakti shrines in the city of Kanchipuram, apart from this temple, which adds even more legend to this temple.

Mysterious Pentagram on Google Maps Explained
On the wind-blown steppes of central
Asia, in an isolated corner of Kazakhstan, there’s a large pentagram
etched into the Earth’s surface. And now an archaeologist has revealed
the source of the mysterious structure.
The five-pointed star surrounded by a circle, located on the southern shore of the Upper Tobol Reservoir, shows up vividly on Google Maps.
There are almost no other signs of human habitation in the area; the
closest settlement is the city of Lisakovsk, about 12 miles (20
kilometers) to the east.
The region surrounding Lisakovsk is
riddled with ancient archaeological ruins. Bronze Age settlements,
cemeteries and burial grounds — many of which have yet to be explored —
dot the windswept landscape.
What is this bizarre symbol, measuring
roughly 1,200 feet (366 meters) in diameter, doing on the side of a
desolate lake in northern Kazakhstan? Naturally, many online comments
have already linked the site with devil worship, nefarious religious
sects or denizens of the underworld.
It certainly doesn’t help that, upon
zooming into the center of the pentagram, viewers will see two places
highlighted by previous visitors to Google Maps: One spot is called Adam, the other, Lucifer — a name often linked to Satan.
The pentagram is an ancient symbol used
by many (non-Satanic) cultures and religious groups. It has been adopted
by the Mesopotamians, Pythagoreans (followers of Pythagoras, the
ancient Greek mathematician), Christians, Freemasons and Wiccans.
The Kazakh pentagram certainly isn’t the
first odd discovery gleaned from Google Maps. Etched onto the desert
floor of New Mexico are two large diamonds surrounded by a pair of
overlapping circles. This is reportedly the site of a hidden bunker
belonging to the Church of Scientology, according to the author of a
book on the religious group.
Deep in the Gobi Desert, viewers of
Google Maps can find a Yagi antenna array, a device that looks like a
giant piece of cracked glass but is used for atmospheric research. And
in a remote corner of Nevada, there’s an enormous KFC advertisement,
featuring the smiling face of Colonel Sanders.

Ganjifa Cards
Few days back, I got the chance to visit an exhibition in Pragati Maidain in Delhi. It was an all states art and craft fair where people from different states were exhibiting their art forms. While roaming, I saw some beautiful miniature paintings in the Orissa stall. When I enquired about the painting he told “Madam, these are Ganjifa playing cards”. He explained me that Ganjifa is actually a very old art form of paintings and playing cards. Further told me how some of the families in Orissa and Maharashtra are trying to revive this dying ancient Indian game.

"See"-ing the past...
The clouds were parting, letting some rays of sunshine touch the streets of Aberdeen, Port Blair, as our car pulled up at the top of the hill.
“The sunshine through the clouds is a beautiful sight, Seema. If only in those olden days, the people who were here had that little sunshine in their life,” I told her as she gently got out.
“I still can’t imagine how you can say your most favorite place is a jail, Ruchi,” she told me, managing a wan smile.
“This isn’t just any jail; this is the most infamous one in Indian history. Right now, we’re standing at the main gate to Kala Paani.”
I could tell she recognized the name. My otherwise calm friend gave a sudden shudder

An Abandoned & Cursed Village of Rajasthan
Kuldhara story is one of the weirdest and inspiring stories I’ve ever heard. About 15 Km. west of Jaisalmer a city in western Rajasthan lies the ruins of a village which was called Kuldhara. The first sight of Kuldhara village, more a town actually, sends one imagination running to the time it may have been inhabited. A well planned settlement, the straight and wide streets ran in grids with houses opening into them. All design elements kept both aesthetics and utility in mind. A kind of a garage opened into the streets to park carts in. Temples, step wells and other structures were all signs of sound development over the centuries.
