The Art of Hiding Technology

Home electronics should integrate seamlessly into a home's design and décor. This course reviews the three-pronged approach to hiding technology-advance planning, design philosophy, and product selection-which are available for minimizing the visual impact of electronics without compromising performance. Specific challenges and recommendations related to hiding video displays, projectors, speakers, controls, cameras, and equipment racks-among others-will be addressed. This course speaks to innovative and creative ways to lessen the visual impact of electronics by making them low-profile, hidden or camouflaged, or even invisible! Attendees will also walk away with an understanding of how to properly engage a trained home technology professional in their next project.
  • Review different residential systems and technologies and determine how different installed options relate to the health, safety, and welfare of the client
  • Discuss how advance planning, design philosophy, and product selection affect the proper functionality of the installed products without compromising design integrity and aesthetics
  • Discuss methods and strategies for hiding technology in safe, convenient, and secure methods
  • Identify preferred timeline for engaging an electronic systems professional in the project

SAN FRANCISCO — A mysterious four-story barge floating near Treasure Island here has people wondering what Google is up to.
A local TV station and CNET offer two theories behind the contents of the boat, which is stacked with shipping containers.
CBS-affiliate KPIX, citing an unnamed source close to the project, says Google is constructing an Apple Store-like marketing center for Google Glass.
CNET says it might be a water-based data center, citing a patent filed by Google for such a thing in 2007.
Google had no comment.
A barge similar to the one in San Francisco is in the waters off Portland, Maine.
The search giant plans to have the barge towed to San Francisco's nearby Fort Mason, where it will be open to the public, the unnamed source told KPIX.
CNET, quoting an anonymous source identified as an independent marine engineer, says Google wants to build a backup data center in the event of a natural disaster. The barge in San Francisco would be one of a dozen data centers worldwide, the source said.

26 Places Google Doesn't Want You To See

Space Research Facility

Space Research Facility
Why is the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC), which is part of the European Space Agency, blocked in such a dramatic way on Google Maps? It even has a visitor's center open to the public, so it's not like we aren't supposed to know it's there...

Russian Missile Site

Russian Missile Site
Not much is known about this mysterious locale, but Wikipedia says it's "possibly a Russian ICBM Complex, near town Egvekinot, Russia, officially claimed as gold-mining facility Kanchalano-Amguemskaya Square."

Baker Lake, NU, the Inuit nation in northern Canada

Baker Lake, NU, the Inuit nation in northern Canada
A man indentified as "Dr. Boylan" believes that the blacked out area seen above and those found in several other locations are blocking the locations of extraterrestrial beacons.

Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany

Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany
This NATO air force hub is a retreat for the Operation Iraqi Freedom forces, and as such could definitely be considered a terrorist target. That could explain why the facility is partially blanked out on Google Maps.

Pacific Northwest, USA

Pacific Northwest, USA
Here's one that gives us chills. What exactly are we not seeing here? The site is close to the Washington-Oregon border and is rumored to have something to do with FEMA, HAARP or, really, anything at all. Prison Planet readers inspected the site in person and could find no identifying details other than an ominous fence and unmarked entrance.

Szazhalombatta Oil Refinery, Hungary

Szazhalombatta Oil Refinery, Hungary
One of the strangest acts of alleged "censorship" is this Hungarian oil facility, which is simply rendered green. That's right — the grounds are deleted, the buildings are missing, and what you have left is flat grass.

Huis Ten Bosch Palace, Netherlands

Huis Ten Bosch Palace, Netherlands
You wouldn't think the Dutch Royal Family would be a prime target for madmen, but the Huis Ten Bosch Palace remains heavily pixilated on Google Maps no matter the angle. (The surrounding area and trees therein, on the other hand, come in crystal clear at close range.)

Unknown area, Russia

Unknown area, Russia
Another one that is so mysterious, no one has a clue what it is. One commenter on the website Siberian Light speculates it's either "a radar station or missile interceptor," while another notes that the image of the surrounding area appears to have been copy-pasted from another part of the country.

Mobil Oil Corporation, Buffalo, NY, USA

Mobil Oil Corporation, Buffalo, NY, USA
Some have criticized Mobil of Buffalo, NY for blurring their facilities, saying the oil corporation doesn't have much of a case for being a terrorist target (terrorists hate snow, you know.) On the other hand, we can't be sure what their reasoning is.

North Korea

North Korea
You've no doubt heard about this country, one of the members of the supposed "Axis of Evil," but few have ever visited. You won't see it on Google Maps, either, as the entire country exists in images but without highway markers, street names, or any other identifying details.

Reims Airbase, France

Reims Airbase, France
Why is the Reims Airbase in France blocked out? Perhaps it emits a particularly foul body odor. (Just kidding, we love the French.)

Indian Point Power Plant, New York, USA

Indian Point Power Plant, New York, USA
Everyone from Democratic Governor Mario Cuomo to former Republican Congresswoman Sue Kelly has called for the Indian Point Power Plant to be shut down. On top of environmental concerns, the upstate New York structure is, according to experts in the energy field, not strong enough to withstand an earthquake like the one that recently devastated Japan.

Volkel Airbase, Netherlands

Volkel Airbase, Netherlands
It's pretty ridiculous how blatantly blurred this one is, but then again, WikiLeaks did publish a diplomatic cable that confirmed the presence of nuclear warheads at this base.

HAARP Site, Gakona, Alaska, USA

HAARP Site, Gakona, Alaska, USA
HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) is one of the most controversial operations currently active in the United States. The Gakona, AK site and its ionospheric testing is believed by some conspiracy theorists to be the cause of everything from floods to earthquakes, although the evidence of this is very minimal.

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Salinas, CA, USA

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Salinas, CA, USA
Here's the strangest bit of censorship on Google Maps: the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, California. It's heavily whited out, in fact, as if an angry hand did the trick. The weirdest part is the facility is just what it sounds like: a seemingly-harmless racetrack

Babylon, Iraq

Babylon, Iraq
While the surrounding area (including its surprisingly rich farmland) is visible, the city of Babylon, Iraq itself is all blurry. You can bet it has something to do with the insurgents there...

Tantauco National Park in Chile

Tantauco National Park in Chile
Why is this refuge for Endangered Species completely washed over on Google? Mashable, which seems to have discovered the strange censorship, doesn't have a clue.

"The Hill" aka Elmira Correctional Facility

This maximum security prison in upstate New York is understandably blacked out... we guess. After the Attica Prison Riots and several incidents worldwide of uprisings and mass escapes, officials could be worried about a possible helicopter-led breakout.

This Russian Guy's House

This Russian Guy's House
What? Some rich guy's personal paradise is blurred on Google? According to Wikipedia, what you're seeing here is "a private palace of the Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller." Why is he given preference over the rest of us? Perhaps we just aren't powerful enough to convince Google to blur our own homes.

Colonel Sanders

Colonel Sanders
Here's the strangest of them all: Col. Sanders, the face of Kentucky Fried Chicken, appears in exactly zero Google Street View images. That's because, as a Google spokesperson notes, Sanders was a real person and everyone is supposed to be blurred on Google sites...

The Faroe Islands, Denmark

The Faroe Islands, Denmark
This is a rumored military installation in a country we previously thought as "harmless." Wonder what they're really planning...

Hungarian Oil Refinery

Hungarian Oil Refinery
The Szzhalombatta Oil refinery in Hungary... and that's all we know.

NATO Headquarters, Portugal

NATO Headquarters, Portugal
This one would be hilarious if it weren't so sinister. Whoever doctored the image of the Portuguese HQ for NATO simply copy-pasted another piece of Google Earth over the actual layout of the building. Weird.

Seabrook Nuclear facility, New Hampshire

Seabrook Nuclear facility, New Hampshire
This is believed to be the Seabrook Nuclear Power Station in the northeast corner of the United States. Are you as fearful of nuclear power as we are?

Missile silo, Spain

Missile silo, Spain
According to a researcher with WikiMedia, "On this lot there is a small building with something almost like a silo in the middle. This location is not blocked in Yahoo! Maps. There is no image for this location in Virtual Earth yet."

Atomic site, France

Atomic site, France
We're not sure what "The Marcoule site of the Commissariat l'nergie Atomique" means, but we're pretty sure the word "atomique" is the keyword here.

mobiletricksthumb thumb Top 3 Cool Secret Mobile Phone Tricks Using Your Cell Phone to Survive in the Wilderness, the reason why cell phones make for such good universal tools is because they are always with us. Rarely do I leave the house without mine, and when I do, I feel naked. They’ve become part of us.
So knowing some secret mobile phone tricks to do some cool things with your phone is a big help.
In this article, we’re going to take a look at three cool things you can do with your average cell phone.

The “˜James Bond’ Trick

The most basic secret mobile phone trick to listen in on a conversation with a mobile phone is to leave it in a room recording. Trouble is, you never know when people will be in there talking. Also, most phones will only allow a certain amount of record time.
All you have to do is plug the earphones in and leave it in a hidden spot within the room (but in a good position where the sound will be easily picked up). By having the earphones in the phone, it will automatically answer and won’t ring or vibrate alerting others to its presence. Then, when someone is in the room you can just ring the cell phone and listen in.

Free Mobile Internet Hack

mobile web sc Top 3 Cool Secret Mobile Phone TricksThis secret mobile phone trick comes from a pair of video bloggers at TheFixed.org. In their premier episode, they showed viewers how to convert their free mobile minutes which most network plans will offer, into web data allowances. Basically, it involves setting up your own proxy using a website they specify in the guide and then changing some WAP settings on your phone.
The amount of free internet you will be able to get depends on how much free minutes you have and how well those minutes convert into data KB allowances (this will depend on what your network charges per kbKB.

Shut Down Your PC by SMS

This is my favourite secret mobile phone tricks out of the list. When you have everything set up, you’ll be able to send a text message with a chosen keyword such as “˜shutdown’ to your PC. This then activates the shutdown procedure. Here’s how it works.
First, you create an easy text file with a one line command (this is specified in the video) and save it to your hard drive. Then, you set up a Kwiry account and sync it with your Email account which you have set up in Outlook Express.
Rules Wizard Top 3 Cool Secret Mobile Phone Tricks
A rule must then be created in Outlook Express which will detect any incoming emails with that keyword and then execute the shutdown command in the text file when it does.
By sending a text with the keyword to your Kwiry account, an identical email is sent to your own email account, thus you can shut down your PC via SMS when you’re out and about.
It’s best to choose an obscure word so a normal email doesn’t accidentally shut down your PC.
You could also use this for cueing up a video game or a program which takes a long time to load before you actually get home to your PC by choosing another application besides from the shutdown file when creating a rule.
Just a quick word of warning before I sign off: many of the claimed cell phone hacks on the internet are completely fake. When researching this article (and through some SPAM a few years back) I came across lots of bogus guides which either waste your time or potentially mess up your phone. So watch out!

Mystery Phone Charges

Cramming happens when a company adds a charge to your phone bill for a service you didn’t order or use. Cramming charges can be small, and they may sound like fees you do owe.
If you don’t recognize or understand a charge on your phone bill, ask your phone carrier about it. Your carrier should be able to tell you more about the charge, and your statement should tell you how to dispute errors on your bill. If you suspect you’ve been a victim of cramming, file a complaint with the FTC online or by calling 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357).

About Phone Bill Cramming

Cramming happens when a company uses your mobile or landline phone bill like a credit card, and adds a charge for services like trivia, ringtones, daily horoscopes or love tips to your bill that you didn’t agree to or use. The most common dollar amount for a cramming charge is $9.99, a relatively small amount which is easy to overlook. Some charges sound like larger fees you do owe, making it tough to pick out the phony charges, especially if your mobile phone bill varies month to month.

Read Your Monthly Bill

Make it a habit to check all charges on your phone bill each month for products and services you haven’t ordered. Some charges may appear only once; others might be “subscription” charges that show up every month. Keep an eye out for generic-sounding services and fees like Min. Use Fee, Activation, Member Fee, or Subscription; as they may be services you haven’t ordered.
Check out each section of your mobile phone bill, but note that crammers tend to target some “hot spots.” Pay special attention to sections labeled “Miscellaneous,” and the “third-party” charge sections on your bill. Mobile phone carriers allow third-parties to place charges on your phone bill, so these type of charges can be from anyone other than your phone company.
Some mobile phone carriers send their customers short bills with few details, but may offer more detailed bills online or upon request. To check out a sample mobile phone bill with various charges explained, visit the Federal Communications Commission website.

If You Suspect Cramming

Don’t recognize or understand items or charges on your mobile phone bill? First, ask your phone carrier about it. Your carrier should be able to tell you more about the charge, and your statement should tell you how to dispute errors on your bill.
Then, take the final step in fighting a cramming charge: file a complaint. Even if you get a refund, if you suspect you’ve been a victim of cramming, file a complaint with the FTC online or by calling 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357).

Reduce Your Risk of Cramming

Sometimes, there’s nothing you can do to prevent a crammer from adding fake charges to your phone bill. However, you can avoid giving would-be scammers the opportunity by keeping these tips in mind:
  • Don’t enter your mobile phone number on unsecured websites. If you do, it’s likely to be compromised.
  • Unsolicited text messages could be sign of a scam. A text message from someone you don’t know could be a signal that you might be signed up for a service you didn’t order or agree to. Your best line of defense? Check your phone bill regularly for mystery charges.
  • Ask your phone carrier about services it offers to block third-party charges. Mobile phone carriers allow third-parties to place charges on your phone bill. Many carriers offer this third-party blocking service for free.

Mystery Of 1938 'Time Traveler' With Cell Phone Solved? (VIDEO)

The mystery surrounding a video that appears to show a young woman talking on a cell phone in 1938 may be solved. The explanation, if true, is sure to disappoint many conspiracy theorists.
The black-and-white footage shows a group of young people, possibly factory workers, walking out of a building. A brunette in a light-colored dress smiles into the camera, her hand pressed to her ear. She is holding what looks to be a large portable phone.
The Daily Mail reports that the clip surfaced online about a year ago and kicked off speculation about a time traveler caught on camera. Recently, a YouTube commenter who goes by the handle Planetcheck claimed to know the woman in the footage.
Though the version of the YouTube clip with Planetcheck's original comments has been removed, the Daily Mail and Yahoo! News blog The Sideshow copied some of Planetcheck's claims before the video disappeared.
According to the posts, Planetcheck professes to be the grandchild of the cell phone woman. Her name is Gertrude Jones, Planetcheck writes, and she was not a time traveler.
"She was 17 years old," Planetcheck writes. "I asked her about this video and she remembers it quite clearly. She says Dupont [the company that reportedly owns the factory in the video] had a telephone communications section in the factory. They were experimenting with wireless telephones. Gertrude and five other women were given these wireless phones to test out for a week. Gertrude is talking to one of the scientists holding another wireless phone who is off to her right as she walks by."
Wireless phones in the 1930s? YouTubers were skeptical.
Answering YouTube critics who questioned why such an amazing device received so little notice for several decades, Planetcheck blamed the factory owners:
Maybe they decided it was too far advanced for people and they abandoned the idea. ... Ideas are hatched, prototypes are made and sometimes like this phone they are forgotten until somebody discovers some long lost film of the world first wireless phone and marvels at it.
Planetcheck also claimed to still have the phone in a glass box somewhere. (We'll believe that when we see it.)
David Mikkelson, founder of Snopes.com, a website that specializes in analyzing popular Internet theories, told The Huffington Post in a telephone interview that videos like this one are as difficult to disprove as they are to prove.
"You can take any piece of WWII footage showing someone holding something to the side of their head talking, and claim it is a time traveling cell phone user," Mikkelson said. "Film clips aren't of sufficient resolution to see what the people are carrying. It could be anything from a handkerchief to a hearing aid, or who knows what. And this video is silent, so you can't even tell if the person is engaged in a two-way conversation."
Mikkelson added it is plausible Dupont could have been working on some sort of hand-held prototype, similar to a walkie-talkie. Still, he remained skeptical.
"I doubt it would have just been handed out to a young woman working at the factory," he said. "And why isn't there documentation?"
Neither Planetcheck nor Dupont could not be reached for comment.
A similar "time traveler" video captured the imaginations of conspiracy theorists in 2010. The clip consists of unreleased footage from a 1928 Charlie Chaplin film and shows a woman in the background walking while appearing to talk on a cell phone. Was she a time traveler, or was she just holding her hand up to her face as she passed in front of the camera?
And who could forget the photo of a 19th-century man who looks uncannily like actor Nicolas Cage? While some speculate that Cage is a time traveler, others joked that he might be a vampire. Cage has denied both rumors.

Lost Ancient Technology of Peru & Bolivia

contrary to conventional thought, the Inca were not the most technologically advanced culture in the area of modern Peru and Bolivia, but were preceded by the great megalithic builders thousands of years before. — Brien Foerster

Peru

Why are so many ancient stone structures found in Peru, and how were they so precisely made, and when? The conventional academic explanation that the Inca built everything to be found around Cusco and the Sacred Valley of Peru has become a comical farce. The Inca, though an incredibly advanced and sophisticated people did not have the technology to shape hard stone with such accuracy, and even their oral traditions speak of “those who came before.”
One such people were the mysterious Viracochans, thought to be myth, but now turning out to be actual people with amazing technical skill, in some ways surpassing our own. Join with us as we find the answers, and roll back the historical records of humanity…

“The probable age of Tihuanacu of the Second Period, calculated on the basis of the variation of the obliquity of the ecliptic, would be approximately 15,000 B.C. Naturally, thiscalculation is in no sense definitive. For example, the factor [t3] of the formula of the International Ephemeris Conference of Paris may well vary in the light of future astronomical knowledge. If the curve of the obliquity of the ecliptic should, for reasons as yet unknown to us, be more inclined, the calculated age of Tihuanacu would also be somewhat less. But it is an established fact that whatever calculation might be used to determine the age of the Temple of the Sun of Tihuanacu, on the basis of the variation of the obliquity of the ecliptic from those times until today, would demonstrate that that American solar observatory is more ancient than any monument of man in the world of which we know up to this time.“   – Arthur Posnansky.
Note: Read fragment of Arthur Posnansky book “Tihuanacu – The Cradle of American Man”  we added to this post.
“The ruins of Tiahuanuco have been regarded by all students of American antiquities as in many respects the most interesting and important, and at the same time most enigmatical, of any on the continent. They have excited the admiration and wonder alike of the earliest and latest travelers, most of whom, vanquished in their attempts to penetrate the mystery of their origin, have been content to assign them an antiquity beyond that of the other monuments of America, and to regard them as the solitary remains of a civilization that disappeared before that of the Incas began, and contemporaneous with that of Egypt and the East.
Unique, yet perfect in type and harmonious in style, they appear to be the work of a people who were thorough masters of an architecture which had no infancy, passed through no period of growth, and of which we find no other examples. Tradition, which mumbles more or less intelligibly of the origin of many other American monuments, is dumb concerning these. The wondering Indians told the first Spaniards that “they existed before the sun shone in the heavens,” that they were raised by giants, or that they were the remains of an impious people whom an angry Deity had converted into stone because they had refused hospitality to his viceregent and messenger. “  – E. George Squier

PS 2013 Tour of Megalithic Sites in Peru and Bolivia

In early August I will be co-leading a “trip of a lifetime” tour of Peru, and I want to personally invite and urge each of you to seriously consider joining it if your circumstances permit. The price for it is astoundingly low because my co-leader, Brien Foerster, is a Canadian who married a Peruvian woman, so he has lived there for many years and now operates one of the most highly-regarded tour companies in Peru. He gets deals almost nobody else can secure, and now I can offer my friends and acquaintances the chance to directly benefit from his connections.
All of you have seen films and photos of Machu Picchu. It is one of our planet’s most iconic symbols of exotic travel, #1 in South America and #2 behind the Pyramids of Egypt for instant recognition worldwide. Imagine yourself there, walking its hallowed grounds. If you join this tour you will do exactly that, as well as walk a half-mile length of the incredible “Inca Trail” that stretches from Cuzco to Machu Picchu. And that’s just one aspect of these 12 incredible days (and 4 more in Bolivia if you add the extension to mind-boggling Tiahuanaco and Puma Punku!).
We will visit the massive stonework of Sacsayhauaman, above Cuzco. More massive stonework at Ollantaytambo. We will fly over the gigantic figures drawn on the desert floor at Nazca. We will ride a boat out into the Pacific to view the enormous Candelabra of the Andes carved into the side of a large hill to seemingly “point” incoming aircraft toward the plains of Nazca. We will visit Ica to examine the incredible Stones there, which appear to show ancient history depicted in great detail, including scenes of humans and dinosaurs living in proximity! Amazing things, all.
Another focus of the trip will be the newly famous “conehead” skulls of Paracas and elsewhere in Peru, and indeed around the world. These are skulls that contain fully twice the cranial capacity of humans of today! Who were these people? How could they be so radically different from humans? Can they even be considered humans? These are issues that will be thoroughly discussed and debated during the tour, whose co-leader, Brien Foerster, is now considered “The Man” when it comes to coneheads. You will learn all about them from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.
From a personal standpoint, I can tell you I went on a tour very similar to this one when I was a much younger man, back in 1993, 20 years ago. Without exaggeration, I can say that it was one of the seminal experiences of my life. I was simply astounded every day, when a new “miracle” would be presented to us for consideration and debate. How could it be that such a primitive culture as the Incas could create such fantastic stone edifices and structures? It seemed impossible to me then, and it remains impossible to me now. But impossible or not, I can assure each of you that this trip will affect you like no other you can or will take in your lifetime. It will leave you with memories, and questions about humanity’s past, that will never leave you.
Let me also add that the tour I took in 1993 was the exact same cost as the tour you will be offered at the link below. Seriously. This is only because of Brien’s many connections in Peru, where he has been arranging and guiding such tours for years. Accommodations will be topnotch, transportation will be in bathroom-equipped buses, and every effort will be made to assure maximum comfort and enjoyment by everyone who joins us. There is room for only 30 on this trip (the buses carry only a few more for the leaders, guides, etc.), so if you have even the slightest bit of interest in considering this as a vacation option, please take it seriously NOW.
One last point: If you yourself can’t take time from a busy schedule (which I realize many of you have), or if you don’t think you’re in good enough shape to trek quite a bit in mountainous terrain at high altitudes (you have to be in a modicum of shape to tackle this), please consider gifting the trip to any children or grandchildren you have who would enjoy it and benefit from it. Measured on any scale of wonderfulness, this tour really WILL be a “trip of a lifetime.” You simply cannot give a more rewarding or appreciated gift.

What really causes heart disease ?

Post image for What really causes heart disease?

Heart surgeon speaks out on what really causes heart disease

Dr. Dwight Lundell
We physicians with all our training, knowledge and authority often acquire a rather large ego that tends to make it difficult to admit we are wrong. So, here it is. I freely admit to being wrong. As a heart surgeon with 25 years experience, having performed over 5,000 open-heart surgeries, today is my day to right the wrong with medical and scientific fact.
I trained for many years with other prominent physicians labelled “opinion makers.” Bombarded with scientific literature, continually attending education seminars, we opinion makers insisted heart disease resulted from the simple fact of elevated blood cholesterol.
The only accepted therapy was prescribing medications to lower cholesterol and a diet that severely restricted fat intake. The latter of course we insisted would lower cholesterol and heart disease. Deviations from these recommendations were considered heresy and could quite possibly result in malpractice.

It Is Not Working!
These recommendations are no longer scientifically or morally defensible. The discovery a few years ago that inflammation in the artery wall is the real cause of heart disease is slowly leading to a paradigm shift in how heart disease and other chronic ailments will be treated.
The long-established dietary recommendations have created epidemics of obesity and diabetesthe consequences of which dwarf any historical plague in terms of mortality, human suffering and dire economic consequences.
Despite the fact that 25% of the population takes expensive statin medications and despite the fact we have reduced the fat content of our diets, more Americans will die this year of heart disease than ever before.
Statistics from the American Heart Association show that 75 million Americans currently suffer from heart disease, 20 million have diabetes and 57 million have pre-diabetes. These disorders are affecting younger and younger people in greater numbers every year.
Simply stated, without inflammation being present in the body, there is no way that cholesterol would accumulate in the wall of the blood vessel and cause heart disease and strokes. Without inflammation, cholesterol would move freely throughout the body as nature intended. It is inflammation that causes cholesterol to become trapped.
Inflammation is not complicated — it is quite simply your body’s natural defence to a foreign invader such as a bacteria, toxin or virus. The cycle of inflammation is perfect in how it protects your body from these bacterial and viral invaders. However, if we chronically expose the body to injury by toxins or foods the human body was never designed to process,a condition occurs called chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation is just as harmful as acute inflammation is beneficial.
What thoughtful person would willfully expose himself repeatedly to foods or other substances that are known to cause injury to the body?  Well, smokers perhaps, but at least they made that choice willfully.
The rest of us have simply followed the recommended mainstream diet that is low in fat and high in polyunsaturated fats and carbohydrates, not knowing we were causing repeated injury to our blood vessels. This repeated injury creates chronic inflammation leading to heart diseasestroke, diabetes and obesity.
Let me repeat that: The injury and inflammation in our blood vessels is caused by the low fat diet recommended for years by mainstream medicine.
What are the biggest culprits of chronic inflammation? Quite simply, they are the overload of simple, highly processed carbohydrates (sugar, flour and all the products made from them) and the excess consumption of omega-6 vegetable oils like soybean, corn and sunflower that are found in many processed foods.
Take a moment to visualize rubbing a stiff brush repeatedly over soft skin until it becomes quite red and nearly bleeding. And you kept this up several times a day, every day for five years. If you could tolerate this painful brushing, you would have a bleeding, swollen infected area that became worse with each repeated injury. This is a good way to visualize the inflammatory process that could be going on in your body right now.
Regardless of where the inflammatory process occurs, externally or internally, it is the same. I have peered inside thousands upon thousands of arteries. A diseased artery looks as if someone took a brush and scrubbed repeatedly against its wall. Several times a day, every day, the foods we eat create small injuries compounding into more injuries, causing the body to respond continuously and appropriately with inflammation.
While we savor the tantalizing taste of a sweet roll, our bodies respond alarmingly as if a foreign invader arrived declaring war.
Foods loaded with sugars and simple carbohydrates, or processed with omega-6 oils for long shelf life have been the mainstay of the American diet for six decades. These foods have been slowly poisoning everyone.
How does eating a simple sweet roll create a cascade of inflammation to make you sick?
Imagine spilling syrup on your keyboard and you have a visual of what occurs inside the cell. When we consume simple carbohydrates such as sugar, blood sugar rises rapidly. In response, your pancreas secretes insulin whose primary purpose is to drive sugar into each cell where it is stored for energy. If the cell is full and does not need glucose, it is rejected to avoid extra sugar gumming up the works.
When your full cells reject the extra glucose, blood sugar rises producing more insulin and the glucose converts to stored fat.
What does all this have to do with inflammation? Blood sugar is controlled in a very narrow range. Extra sugar molecules attach to a variety of proteins that in turn injure the blood vessel wall. This repeated injury to the blood vessel wall sets off inflammation. When you spike your blood sugar level several times a day, every day, it is exactly like taking sandpaper to the inside of your delicate blood vessels.
While you may not be able to see it, rest assured it is there. I saw it in over 5,000 surgical patients spanning 25 years who all shared one common denominator — inflammation in their arteries.
Let’s get back to the sweet roll. That innocent looking goody not only contains sugars, it is baked in one of many omega-6 oils such as soybean. Chips and fries are soaked in soybean oil; processed foods are manufactured with omega-6 oils for longer shelf life. While omega-6’s are essential -they are part of every cell membrane controlling what goes in and out of the cell – they must be in the correct balance with omega-3’s.
Editor’s note: Hemp Hearts TM (shelled hemp seeds) are the Most Concentrated and Best Balanced Source of Proteins, Essential Fats and Vitamins in Nature. Of equal importance, these desirable nutrients are not accompanied in HEMP HEARTS™ (shelled hemp seeds) with an excess of carbohydrates, sugars, and saturated fats – nutrients which are already eaten in excess and which in the long term have proven to be challenging to human health.
If the balance shifts by consuming excessive omega-6, the cell membrane produces chemicals called cytokines that directly cause inflammation.
Today’s mainstream American diet has produced an extreme imbalance of these two fats. The ratio of imbalance ranges from 15:1 to as high as 30:1 in favor of omega-6. That’s a tremendous amount of cytokines causing inflammation. In today’s food environment, a 3:1 ratio would be optimal and healthy.
To make matters worse, the excess weight you are carrying from eating these foods creates overloaded fat cells that pour out large quantities of pro-inflammatory chemicals that add to the injury caused by having high blood sugar. The process that began with a sweet roll turns into a vicious cycle over time that creates heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and finally, Alzheimer’s disease, as the inflammatory process continues unabated.

There is no escaping the fact that the more we consume prepared and processed foods, the more we trip the inflammation switch little by little each day. The human body cannot process, nor was it designed to consume, foods packed with sugars and soaked in omega-6 oils.

There is but one answer to quieting inflammation, and that is returning to foods closer to their natural state. To build muscle, eat more protein. Choose carbohydrates that are very complex such as colorful fruits and vegetables. Cut down on or eliminate inflammation- causing omega-6 fats like corn and soybean oil and the processed foods that are made from them.
One tablespoon of corn oil contains 7,280 mg of omega-6; soybean contains 6,940 mg. Instead, use olive oil or butter from grass-fed beef.
Animal fats contain less than 20% omega-6 and are much less likely to cause inflammation than the supposedly healthy oils labelled polyunsaturated. Forget the “science” that has been drummed into your head for decades. The science that saturated fat alone causes heart disease is non-existent. The science that saturated fat raises blood cholesterol is also very weak. Since we now know that cholesterol is not the cause of heart disease, the concern about saturated fat is even more absurd today.
The cholesterol theory led to the no-fat, low-fat recommendations that in turn created the very foods now causing an epidemic of inflammation. Mainstream medicine made a terrible mistake when it advised people to avoid saturated fat in favor of foods high in omega-6 fats. We now have an epidemic of arterial inflammation leading to heart disease and other silent killers.
What you can do is choose whole foods your grandmother served and not those your mom turned to as grocery store aisles filled with manufactured foods. By eliminating inflammatory foods and adding essential nutrients from fresh unprocessed food, you will reverse years of damage in your arteries and throughout your body from consuming the typical American diet.

How did Egyptians build the Great Pyramid?

Post image for How did Egyptians build the Great Pyramid?

”The Great Pyramid has lent its name as a sort of by-word for paradoxes; and, as moths to a candle, so are theorisers attracted to it. The very fact that the subject was so generally familiar, and yet so little was accurately known about it, made it the more enticing; there were plenty of descriptions from which to choose, and yet most of them were so hazy that their support could be claimed for many varying theories.“
– Sir Flinders Petrie, The Pyramids and Temples of Gizeh

How did Egyptians build it?

There are many theories about how the pyramids were built. One of the most outrageous theories it that aliens built the pyramids. Fortunately we have proof that the Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids. Unfortunately there are many theories about how the Egyptians built the pyramids. Below we present few of the most popular ideas about how were the pyramids built.
For years, scientists and explorers have debated over the question: How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?  Now a new solution has been found by Italian researcher Elio Diomedi that may provide answers in this controversial documentary. The following video video  courtesy of UFOTV) presents extremely likely scenario of how did they do it…
The following seem to validate the ideas of Elio Diomedi:

How were the Pyramids built?

The pyramid blocks were hewn from quarries using stone and copper tools. There are examples of each stage of block extraction at existing ancient quarries. Granite was quarried using pounding stones of dolerite, some of which have been found laying about the quarries. The blocks were transported to the pyramid site from remote quarries using barges, and from local quarries using wooden sleds. The Egyptians did not use the wheel during the Pyramid Age, an invention that would have been of limited used on softer ground under heavy loads. The sleds were dragged manually, sometimes with the help of beasts of burden, over smoothed roads. Some of the existing pathways were equipped with transverse wooden beams to lend support to the sled. A lubricant may have been poured upon the road to reduce friction. (For more information, see Moving Large Objects.)

How the massive blocks were raised to the height of the rising pyramid is not understood for certain. Earthen ramps were used at least in the initial stages of construction. Extant ramps have been found at the pyramids of Amenemhat I and Senwosret I at Lisht (see photos below), as well as at several other sites. Traces of disassembled ramps at pyramid sites are even more common. The ramps were made of brick or earth and rubble dressed with brick for strength. They were built up as the pyramid progressed upward, and removed as the pyramid was finished downward.

The ramps likely took the form of an inclined plane at the beginning of work, but the configuration in later stages has long been a matter of conjecture. Some Egyptologists propose a straight, gently sloping, linear ramp, some propose a steep staircase ramp, and others propose a ramp that spiraled up the four sides of the pyramid. In most ramp scenarios, the volume of the ramp exceeds the volume of the pyramid structure itself, raising the possibility that the stones of the upper reaches were placed using levers, or perhaps a modified ramp of some sort. In the case of the Great Pyramid at Giza, the upper half of the total vertical pyramid height represents only 12.5% of the mass of the entire pyramid. The mass of the top quarter of the pyramid’s height is a mere .0386% of the whole. Thus the mass of the ramp is in inverse proportion to the mass of building material it is meant to convey. Extending a ramp to the upper reaches of a pyramid to service such a small volume of stone would appear to be inexpedient.
But whatever the configuration of the ramps, the fact remains that the Egyptians successfully completed the most massive building projects in all of history. There is nothing magical or supernatural in the means by which they achieved their goals. By all indications, they retained their knowledge of construction throughout their history, but they were limited after the Fourth Dynasty not by the lack of technology but rather by the lack of the abundant resources that were previously available. More than two thousand years later, the Romans would move huge stones, some weighing nearly 1,000 tons, using similar techniques at Baalbek.
More impressive than the mechanics of moving huge masses of building material are the logistics involved: choreographing teams of foremen, multitudes of workers, and a profusion of supplies, all within the rigid constraints of a blueprint for design and a timetable for completion. It is hard to imagine that such a feat could be possible, but the pyramids themselves provide mute testimony that it was not only possible but actually accomplished. There remains no known written record hinting at how the pyramids were built, nor have any reliefs depicting the procedure been found. Most of what Egyptologists believe to be true of the methods involved is based on tangible archaeological evidence. Some is based on theory and is open for debate. What is known for certain is that the Egyptians used simple but effective tools to quarry the stones, to move them to the pyramid site, and to place them in the desired location.
For a more detailed and technical treatment of pyramid construction techniques, see Bonnie Sampsell’s articles on the role of accretion layers in pyramid design and on how the Egyptians managed to control the shape of the pyramid while building it.

Jean-Pierre Houdin Theory

3D Unveils the Mystery of the Great Pyramid
The secret of the construction of the pyramid of Khufu in Egypt has always held people in fascination. Numerous theories have been put forward but none has yet stood up to analysis. Eight years ago, the architect Jean-Pierre Houdin had a flash of intuition and developed a revolutionary theory. Considering Khufu’ monumental undertaking as the first industrial construction project in history, he turned to Dassault Systèmes technology to test his hypotheses and feed his thought processes. So it was that he joined the ‘Passion for Innovation’ programme. Having demonstrated the validity of the theory with the aid of their scientific 3D solutions, Dassault Systèmes invite you to enjoy an extraordinary journey through time and space. The Red-haired Race

The Guanches were the people living in the Canary Islands before the Spanish conquest in the 15th century. Although it’s believed that they were related to the North African Berbers, we should bear in mind that they were of mixed race. Some, who were a brownish shade, were of the Mediterranean Race and as others were tall, white, fair or red-haired, nobody has questioned why red-haired mummies have been discovered in caves (1).

It’s not known when the Guanches arrived in the Canary Islands but, in common with people throughout the Early World, they claimed to be the survivors of a great flood which destroyed their former homeland (2). It’s generally believed that the deluge legends relate to the end of the Ice Age around 10,000 years ago. However, as we shall later see, there appears to have been  a worldwide catastrophe several thousand years later and it appears to be the origin of the hundreds of flood stories that were told by the Ancients.
NewgrangeNewgrange Ireland which is associated with the Tuatha de Danaan
Could it be that the Tuatha intermarried with the Celts and that this is why so many Irish people have red hair? The highest proportion of red-haired people in Europe is in Scotland which also suggests a mixing of early races in that country. Over the years, Classical, and other scholars, have commented on the red hair of some of the European tribes such as the Belgae –Gallo-Germanic tribes in Northern Gaul, from whom the name Belgium was derived, and Boudica, the queen of the Celtic Iceni, was described as a tall women with flowing red hair.
The story becomes more intriguing when we find that, prior to the arrival of the Europeans, there may have been red-haired people in parts of North and Central America. The native Paiute in Nevada, for example, have legends about a war in which their ancestors fought, and destroyed, a tall red-haired race who they called the Si-te-cah. Sceptics place little significance on their legends but in Mayan temple art, in Chichen Itza, in the Yucatan, there are paintings of tall, white, men with flowing golden hair in scenes of conflict (3 ) and as we shall see, there are also traces of tall, white, red heads in various parts of South America.

Matto Grosso, the third largest state in area in Brazil , lies in the west of the country and half of its north region is covered by the Amazon rain forest. Col. P. H. Fawcett, the famous British explorer who disappeared there in 1925, was  fascinated with legends of white tribes, and mysterious lost cities, and so  he went there on several expeditions, between 1906 and 1925, and one of the things that amazed him were the reports of sightings of blue-eyed, red-haired, Indians (4). Harold. T. Wilkins, an authority on the mysteries of South America, relates that an old Spanish historian reported that there was a tall red-haired, bearded, Amazon people, the Mayorumas, ‘whose skin was so white that they resembled the English or Flemish peoples’ (5) and William F. Dankenbring adds that builders of Brazil’s Trans-Amazon Highway also discovered the existence of a white skinned, red-bearded tribe (6).
Harold T. Wilkins relates that, in 1929, the American traveller Lawrence Griswold was captured by Shuara Indians and he was taken up the Rio Juara one of the many tributaries of the Amazon. One day he, and his savage captors, came across the ruins of an ancient city where he saw pyramids, and a horseshoe shaped amphitheatre, and the small tribal elder tried to convince Griswold that the city was built by his tribes’ ancestors. However, this was obviously untrue as he claimed that its tall, ‘red-haired’, builders were changed into his people ‘due to their wicked behaviour before the Flood’. Griswold was very lucky that he was a tall red-head as the Indians thought that he was of the lost race and this is why they saved his life after capturing him. Griswold was later escorted to the nearest post on the Amazon and, from there, he made his way back to New York (7). As in the Canary Islands, red-haired mummies have also been found in Peru and there is evidence to suggest that tall, red-headed, whites were involved in the early history of this region ( 8).
When he was investigating the origin of the Redin, the earlier red-haired, white ,population in the Maldives, (9)Thor Heyerdahl extended his research to the Indian sub-continent. Although he found cultural similarities between some parts of the two areas, his unique  study was not conclusive. What he should have noted is that red hair and blue eyes can be found among some of the people in the Western and Northern parts of South Asia. The indications are that there was a migration of red-heads into this region thousands of years ago but where did these people come from?  What we do know is that Indian legends tell of giant, demon-like, beings ,the Rakshashas, who had red hair and beards. The Rakshasas are said to have been the enemies of man and it is said that they fought the gods. These Indian legends may have given rise to a dislike of red-haired people in the country and to have prompted Donald A. Mackenzie to report, a 100 years ago, that ‘a native girl with auburn locks is not cared for as a bride’ (10).
We can now take this story a step further. In Ancient Egypt, a popular, allegorical, story, which I have decoded, tells of the conflict between the gods and an evil red-haired race. This legend influenced Egyptian Afterlife traditions, and customs, and it was the reason why, at one time in the country’s long history, red haired people were sacrificed (11). In the New Kingdom, though, attitudes had changed. Egypt now had a tall red-haired king. His name was Ramasses 11 and he resembled the tall, white, Guanches in the Canary Islands (12).  But that’s another fascinating story.

Conclusions

In various parts of the Early World, there were legends of an advanced, fair to reddish haired, pre-deluge, race who, according to some traditions, were in conflict with ‘The Gods’. But who were the gods in this era and what did happen? One of the stories told about this appears in the mystical, allegorical, writings about Enoch in which non earthly beings, who were like white men, escort Enoch to a high place to watch the evil  behaviour of men who are symbolised by animals. The animals begin to fight each other and the white beings send down destruction on them (13).  Enoch’s non earthly companions were based on the Annunaki, of Sumerian tradition, who reputedly caused the Flood, and whose leaders also appeared in the traditions of  other various people, such as the Babylonians, Egyptians and Assyrians, in the intervening years.
As the red-haired whites were tall, they might also have been the pre-deluge race of giants mentioned in the folklore of many early cultures and their conflict with the visiting ‘sky-people’ might have been the origin of the Greek story of the war between gods and giants. Because they were thought to be descended from the evil race, red-haired  people have been badly treated over the years such as being sacrificed to the gods in Ancient Egypt and later being accused of witchcraft and of having bad tempers. Evidence suggests that people of this description were living in various parts of the world such as in North Western Europe and in the Americas and there are also traces of them on some of the Pacific Islands including Easter Island (14). And finally, there is evidence to suggest that the destruction of the previous age happened 5,000 years ago around which time there was major flooding, and climate change, in various parts of the world, followed by the rebirth, (not the birth as is generally believed by scholars), of civilization (15).
